Renewed Partnership: CATALIS Quebec Partners With N2 Canada to Offer a Membership for 2024-2025 to Health and Social Services Network Institutions
CATALIS Quebec is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with N2 Canada for 2024-2025. Through this partnership, CATALIS Quebec has committed to supporting the 2024-2025 membership of the health and social services institutions (HSSIs) which are part of the Health and Social Services Network (Réseau de la santé et des services sociaux) members of the CATALIS Network, to strengthen the skills of clinical research professionals across the province.
In keeping with the recommendations of the more than 45 public and private members of CATALIS’ Quality and Training Advisory Committee, this initiative aims to improve clinical research practices in Quebec while ensuring they align with pan-Canadian best practices.
N2 Canada membership includes:
- Clinical research education: industry professionals will have access to several education courses. Themes will include:
- Best Clinical Practices (BCP)
- Health Canada Division 5
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods/International Air Transport Association (TDG/IATA)
- Clinical Research Coordinator
- Responsible Conduct of Research
- Privacy in Research
- Biomedical Research Ethics
- Social & Behavioural Research Ethics
- Medical Devices
- Access to N2’s standard operating procedures (SOPs): research centre management teams will have complete access to N2’s SOPs, which they can adapt to their local needs.
- Pan-Canadian educational activities: HSSIs will have access to a wide range of educational activities offered by N2 Canada. These activities will allow for knowledge to be shared across Canada.
An Initiative Aiming to Increase Clinical Research Excellence
CATALIS Quebec’s is mandated by the government to act as a neutral and agile entity to mobilize and coordinate efforts to optimize the clinical research environment in Quebec. By facilitating access to high-quality educational resources and training, CATALIS Québec and N2 Canada are showing their commitment to supporting excellence in clinical research.
Thanks to a collaboration established in 2022, CATALIS Quebec became N2 Canada’s new representative for Quebec. As such, CATALIS will take part in planning N2 events and workshops and assign representatives from Quebec to various N2 activities. This collaboration between CATALIS and N2 will enhance the skills of research professionals and ensure greater compliance with international patient welfare standards.
