CATALIS’s Board of Directors brings together experts from Quebec healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and independent directors. Guided by the principles of sound governance, the Board helps shape the organization’s strategic direction and supports the deployment of initiatives aimed at accelerating the development of innovative treatments for the benefit of patients across Quebec.
CATALIS is pleased to announce the appointment of Dominique Johnson, PhD, and Pascal Martel, FCPA, to its Board of Directors.
Their addition strengthens the Board’s collective expertise and supports CATALIS in fulfilling its mission to optimize Quebec’s clinical research environment through collaboration among the various stakeholders in the ecosystem.
Since 2016, when she was appointed Executive Director of the McPeak-Sirois Group for Clinical Research in Breast Cancer, Dr. Dominique Johnson has drawn on more than 30 years of clinical research experience to engage hospital centres and their teams and advance the Group’s activities.
A graduate of the Université de Montréal with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, specializing in cardiovascular clinical research, Dr. Johnson has worked across the public and private sectors as well as in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2000, she co-founded the clinical trials coordination center at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHICC, now Seriant), where she served as Executive Director for 16 years and led its development and growth to international recognition.
In 2021, under her leadership, Quebec’s first registry dedicated to metastatic breast cancer was launched. She has also served on governance and operations committees for several major international clinical trials and has developed numerous partnerships across the clinical research community. Dr. Johnson is the author of more than 40 scientific publications.
“Serving on the Board of Directors of CATALIS means contributing to an organization that brings together the entire clinical research ecosystem in Quebec to advance research and improve care for patients.”
