Efficient governance that brings tomorrow’s
progress today.
CATALIS’s governance relies on a network of public and private partners to carry out its vision and mission of progress and operational excellence in clinical research in Quebec. Advisory committees play a key role by supporting senior management in implementing the strategic plan and priority actions approved by the Board of Directors.

CATALIS Québec wishes to pay tribute to Olga Vila, who served as Director of Finance and Administration from 2024 to 2026. Olga left a meaningful mark on our organization through her dedication, her rigor, and her commitment to integrity and good governance. She inspired her colleagues with her professionalism and kindness. The entire CATALIS Québec team wishes to express its deep sadness and extend its sincerest condolences to Olga’s family and loved ones.

In 2015-2016, Montreal InVivo identified a strategic need for Quebec, namely attracting more early clinical trials funded by the industry to get an edge in the world’s clinical research landscape. In 2017, following their lead, the Government of Quebec granted funding through the Québec Life Sciences Strategy, and the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (Ministry of Health and Social Services) mandated the CQDM (biopharmaceutical research consortium) to launch this large-scale provincial initiative. CQDM founded the coordination office that led to the creation of CATALIS, which became a legal and independent body in 2018.
Today, CATALIS’s mission extends to all clinical research. The CATALIS Network brings together more than 250 experts from the public and private sectors, including patient representatives, who are all working together to drive clinical research in Quebec.
CATALIS gratefully acknowledges the efforts of Montreal InVivo and CQDM for their invaluable contribution in its creation.
